Boustany Announces Winner for Congressional Art Competition

(Washington, DC)  – Congressman Charles W. Boustany, Jr., M.D. (R-South Louisiana), released the following statement after selecting this year’s winner for the annual Congressional Art Competition. The winning submission, titled “Hannah Walters,” was submitted by Kalli Padgett of Lafayette. Kalli is in 10th grade at St. Thomas More Catholic High School in Lafayette:

“Congratulations to Kalli for winning the Congressional Art Competition. I look forward to seeing her painting as it hangs on display in the U.S. Capitol for the next year. The Congressional Art Competition allows for young artists to display their talents to the rest of the country. It encourages young people in communities across America to participate in the arts. I am proud of Kalli’s artwork as her talent and hard work will now represent South Louisiana in Washington.”
