Boustany Accepting Applications for Summer Internships

(Washington, DC)  – U.S. Representative Charles W. Boustany, Jr., (R-South Louisiana), today announced his office is accepting applications for summer internships in his Washington, DC office:

“Internships are an excellent opportunity for young adults to learn about our state, our country and the political process," Boustany said.  “With the 2012 elections, students will have a firsthand experience to be in Washington and see and better understand the issues and concerns people most deeply care about.  Many of Louisiana’s best and brightest have worked for me and I greatly appreciate their efforts.”

The internships are available in Boustany’s Washington office.  Interns perform a variety of tasks including legislative research, attending Congressional hearings, assisting with press communications, and interacting with constituents.  There are two summer sessions for the internships and each session is about 5 weeks long.

Interested students and recent graduates should submit a cover letter explaining their interest and a resume before February 15, 2012 to Jeff Dobrozsi at jeff.dobrozsi@mail.house.govwith the subject “DC intern.”  Questions should be directed to the Washington, D.C. office at (202) 225-2031.
