Connolly Open Season Workshop Draws More Than 300

More than 300 federal employees and retirees participated in Congressman Connolly’s annual Federal Employee Health Benefit Plan Open Season workshop held at W.T. Woodson High School in Fairfax.  The workshop featured a panel of experts including FEHB expert Walton Francis and a representative from the federal Office of Personnel Management.  Health insurance representatives from the various plans offered under FEHBP, as well as representatives from the AARP, NARFE, and Fairfax County’s Insurance and Counseling Assistance Program were on hand to answer specific questions regarding their coverage and premiums.

Congressman Connolly has held the annual Open Season workshop every year he has been in Congress.  “I am proud to represent a district with one of the highest number of federal employees and retirees in the country,” said Connolly.  “This forum is a great opportunity for my constituents to have direct contact with federal health insurance representatives, OPM, and Medicare, to make informed health care decisions based on their own individual needs.”

The event has grown in popularity each year and Congressman Connolly is committed to continue providing this annual service to constituents.
