Sen. Brown Announces New Resources For Community Health Center Development In Lima

Funds Will Help Expand Critical Health Care Services to Allen County Residents and Support Local Jobs

WASHINGTON, DC –A community health center in Allen County will be able to expand services as a result of new federal resources. U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that Health Partners of Western Ohio, a medical center serving Allen County, received new resources from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to support and develop primary care health services.

“Community health centers play a vital role in helping Ohioans obtain access to primary and preventive health care services,” said Brown.  “These new federal resources will help Health Partners of Western Ohio provide affordable and accessible health care to more of Lima’s children, seniors, and parents.”

Allocated through the Health Resources and Services Administration’s Health Center Cluster program, the grant will provide $1,136,557 to the Lima-based organization.
