WDVA unveiled a monument at the WVH-King dedicated to Wisconsin's 62 Medal of Honor recipients. Medal of Honor recipient Gary Wetzel (center) accepts a donation from the Green Bay Packers for the monument.

Mac and Carol McClatchey of Always Remembered Flags present a donation for homeless veterans to Secretary Scocos and Raymond Perez Jr., manager of the WDVA homeless program.

Governor Walker and Secretary Scocos presented state employee Larry Stanczyk (center, with hat) with a Purple Heart he earned in Vietnam at a Veterans Day ceremony in the Capitol.

Staff from Dogs on Call met with WDVA employees to discuss ways that therapy dogs can be used to improve the health of veterans.

Artist Ann Garity and Secretary Scocos pose with children and grandchildren of veterans who decorated the ornaments that will hang on Wisconsin's 2012 National Christmas Tree in Washington D.C. in honor of The Year of the Veteran.

Veterans Benefits Administrator Tom Rhatican (2nd from left) and Battle Cross, Ltd. representatives dedicated a new Battle Cross monument at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery on September 29.
