Financial Services Committee

Capital Markets and Government Sponsored Enterprise Subcommittee

The Capital Markets subcommittee is responsible for laws pertaining to U.S. capital markets, the securities industry, as well as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.  It is also responsible for the oversight of the Securities and Exchange Commission and self-regulatory organizations.

Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit Subcommittee

The Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit subcommittee, where Mr. Pearce served during his previous tenure in Congress, handles the oversight of financial regulators and works to ensure the safety of the banking system.

Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee

The Oversight and Investigations subcommittee is responsible for the oversight and investigation of all entities under the Financial Services Committee’s jurisdiction.

Republican Study Committeee

The Republican Study Committee is a group of over 175 House Republicans organized for the purpose of advancing a conservative social and economic agenda in the House of Representatives.

Caucus Memberships

Chairman, Western Caucus:

At the beginning of 2011 Members of the Congressional Western Caucus unanimously elected Congressman Steve Pearce as Chairman.  The mission of the Western Caucus is to enhance, sustain, and preserve the West’s dynamic and unique culture, and to find innovative solutions that address the distinctive concerns facing western and rural communities. We believe economic growth and conservation are not mutually exclusive goals and can be accomplished by promoting balanced, common-sense reforms.

Tea Party Caucus

The Tea Party Caucus was formed in the House of Representatives in July 2010 because Congress had strayed from the fundamental principles of the Constitution and was not listening to the American people. The Tea Party Caucus was launched as a means for everyday Americans to express their views to Members of Congress.

Sportsman's Caucus

Founded in 1989, the bipartisan Congressional Sportsmen's Caucus has grown into one of the largest and most effective caucuses in the US Congress with nearly 300 members representing almost all 50 states. With bipartisan leadership in both the House and the Senate, the Caucus is the sportsmen's ally and first line of defense in Washington promoting and protecting the rights of hunters, trappers and anglers.

China Caucus

The primary purpose of the Congressional China Caucus is to educate its members on issues pertaining to China and Chinese interests and serve as a forum for discussion of such issues. The Congressional China Caucus will investigate China’s global reach and the consequences of its growing international, economic, and political influence on U.S. interes ts.

Dairy Caucus

The Caucus will serve as a mechanism to build consensus on legislation impacting the dairy industry while also serving as a means to educate members and their staff on issues of concern to the industry.
