Omaha World-Herald: Midlanders in Congress condemn attack in Libya

WASHINGTON — Tuesday night's deadly attack in Libya came after the United States supported the NATO-led coalition that ended the bloodshed of Moammar Gadhafi, Rep. Jeff Fortenberry pointed out during a House speech.

"Now our ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens, is dead, killed by the very people we went there to save," the Nebraska Republican said. "Americans can tolerate ingratitude. Americans can tolerate insult. But Americans cannot tolerate the senseless killing of the official representative of our country and three other diplomatic personnel."
