Bipartisan JOBS Act to Help Small Businesses Prosper

Washington, D.C.  – House Republican Policy Committee Chairman Tom Price, M.D. (R-GA) issued the following statement after the House of Representatives approved the Senate amendment to the Jumpstart Our Business Startups (JOBS) Act.

“The American people and their representatives in Washington share the frustration of an unacceptably slow recovery.  Creating an environment conducive to job creation and economic growth must remain our top priority,” said Chairman Price.  “This makes the bipartisan efforts in the House and Senate to send the JOBS Act to the president’s desk for his signature all the more important.  House Republicans believe that the best and surest path to growth and prosperity is rooted in free enterprise and the ability of small businesses to prosper.  Our efforts since the start of this Congress have been aimed at getting Washington out of the way of job creators.  Today’s vote is an important step, but much more can and should be done.  There remain many other House-passed bills aimed at empowering entrepreneurs and restoring confidence in our economy that I hope the Senate will also consider.”
