Neugebauer Votes to Repeal Obamacare

WASHINGTON, DC – Representative Randy Neugebauer (R-TX) voted today to repeal President Obama’s health care law. The Repeal of Obamacare Act passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 244-185. This bill is the 32nd piece of legislation that the House has voted on to repeal all or part of Obamacare.

“The American people have voiced their opposition to Obamacare loud and clear, and House Republicans are listening,” said Congressman Neugebauer. “If the Senate doesn’t act soon, middle class Americans will be saddled with one of the largest tax increases in history.  The fact is that families and businesses across America are going to be penalized by the huge costs of Obamacare unless we repeal this misguided law.”

The Congressional Budget Office predicts Obamacare will impose $1.76 trillion in new costs and will result in 800,000 fewer American jobs.  Additionally, 65 percent of doctors feel that Obamacare would harm their patients and reduce the quality of health care.

“I am proud to cast my vote on behalf of citizens of the 19th District of Texas to repeal Obamacare,” Neugebauer stated.  “I will continue to seek ways to remove this burdensome law from West Texas small businesses and families.”
