NEUGEBAUER ANNOUNCES $7 MILLION GRANT TO IMPROVE ABILENE AIRPORT

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Randy Neugebauer (TX-19) is pleased to announce a $7 million grant from the Department of Transportation (DOT) for upgrades to the Abilene Regional Airport.

According to the DOT, the funding will be used to rehabilitate two taxiways, which are the paved areas used by planes to travel from the terminal to the runways.

“I’m pleased that the Department of Transportation recognizes the valuable services the Abilene Regional Airport provides for West Texans,” Neugebauer stated.  “By providing easy access to Abilene and the surrounding communities, this airport not only increases personal travel, but business travel as well.  An investment to improve the Abilene Regional Airport is an investment in Texan jobs.”
