    About
  1. I congratulate the U.S. Army National Guard on 376 years of dedicated service to our country. Many of us on Guam have family and friends serving in the Guard, and we are grateful for their efforts in assisting the community, especially following typhoons and other emergencies.

    • Honorable Congresswoman Bordallo. Merry Christmas. If you have not seen the You Tube clip from David Letterman or have received complaints, please watch it. it is very distasteful and an insult to the people of Guam!

  3. This provocative missile launch by the North Korean regime is unwarranted and unhelpful towards ensuring peace and security in the Asia-Pacific region. The missile launch follows an unfortunate and predictable pattern by North Korean leaders who wish to test the strength of regional alliances and attract attention to their needs.
  4. The Congresswoman's holiday decorations in the Rayburn House Office Building made Roll Call's Photo of the Day.
  5. This statement from the Obama Administration reinforces what I have long said—that it is in the best interests of our national security and our bilateral relations with Japan to restart, in earnest, the military realignment of U.S. Marines from Okinawa to Guam.
  6. These Congressional Delegations allow Members to speak directly with foreign officials about our bilateral relations, and they are a good way to get to know other Members and build working relationships. I also appreciated the opportunity to meet with servicemembers from Guam aboard the USS Blue Ridge.
  7. Congresswoman Bordallo joined her colleagues and congressional staff in participating in the annual Red Cross Holiday Mail for Heroes program. The event, now in its sixth year, is an opportunity to sign holiday cards for servicemembers, veterans and their families. — at Rayburn House.

  8. I look forward to the Guam Department of Public Works’ implementation of these funds in increasing the safety of Guam’s roadways for our visitors and our local community. These funds will be used to support highway safety programs aimed at reducing traffic fatalities on our island.
  9. The Navy’s awarding of this task order demonstrates progress in moving forward with the military buildup in a timelier manner. These infrastructure improvements at Apra Harbor are directly tied to the realignment of Marines from Okinawa to Guam, and are critical to supporting mission requirements of the Navy and Marine Corps.
  10. As we celebrate the founding of the Marines, we must also remember the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our freedom. I continue to pray for the safe return of all those still serving overseas, and I wish the U.S. Marine Corps continued success for many years to come.
  11. I am accepting applications for Congressional nominations to attend the military service academies until November 30th. The Service Academies provide a unique opportunity for students interested in a military career, and I highly encourage qualified high school seniors to consider applying for a nomination.
  12. Guam imports more than 79 million aluminum cans every year. Recycling is an everyday activity that our island residents should practice. Please help preserve our island’s natural resources and do your part to keep our landfill free of toxic waste so that future generations promote recycling awareness, commitment, and action.
