Statement on Obama Administration’s Support for Guam Military Construction Funding in FY13 NDAA
The Congresswoman issued the following statement in response to the Obama Administration’s Statement of Administration Policy on the Senate version of the FY13 NDAA.
Bordallo Returns from Congressional Delegation to Japan and Taiwan
The Congresswoman recently returned to Washington D.C. following a five-day Congressional Delegation (CODEL) to Japan and Taiwan. The delegation, led by Congressman Rob Wittman of Virginia, also included Congressman Bill Flores of Texas and Congressman David Cicilline of Rhode Island.
Bordallo Joins Colleagues, Congressional Staff in Participating in the Holiday Mail for Heroes Program

U.S. Department of Transportation Awards $ 286,365 to Guam Department of Public Works/Office of Highway Safety
The Congresswoman today announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded $ 286,365 to Guam Department of Public Works/Office of Highway Safety. The funds were awarded through the DOT’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
U.S. Navy Awards Task Order for Small Business to Construct Facilities Directly Related to Realignment
The Congresswoman today issued the following statement regarding the U.S. Navy’s recent announcement that it has awarded a $14 million task order for beginning work on the second increment of Apra Harbor Wharf Improvements. The Congresswoman supported this military construction project, which was $40 million overall, in the Fiscal Year 2011 National Defense Authorization Act.
Bordallo Joins Congressional Leaders in Celebrating the 237th Birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps
The Congresswoman today joined House Speaker John Boehner and many of her fellow Members of Congress at a ceremony in the U.S. Capitol to celebrate the 237th birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps. The ceremony was hosted by General James F. Amos, Commandant of the Marine Corps.
Bordallo Accepting Applications for Nominations to Service Academies until November 30th, 2012
The Congresswoman today announced that she is accepting applications from students interested in attending the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado; the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, New York; the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland; or the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York until Friday, November 30th, 2012.

HHS Awards Guam $202,855 in Federal Financial Assistance
Congresswoman Madeleine Z. Bordallo today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded the Guam Department of Public Health and Social Services two grants totaling $202,855. These funds will be used to support Maternal and Child Health Services and the Guam Rape Prevention Education Program.
