Committee Assignments

In addition to the general responsibilities Representative Martin Heinrich has as a member of Congress, he serves on two committees: The Armed Services Committee and the Natural Resources Committee.

As a member of to the House Armed Services Committee, Rep. Heinrich has an important role in decisions affecting Kirtland Air Force Base and Sandia National Laboratory, both of which are located in New Mexico’s First Congressional District. On the Natural Resources Committee, Martin plays an important role in managing public lands and developing the country’s energy resources, both prominent assets to his home state of New Mexico.
