Myrick Votes Against Increasing Debt Limit

(Washington, DC) - US Representative Sue Myrick (NC-09) today voted against a bill to increase the national debt limit to $14,294,000,000,000.
“Today, the Majority made it perfectly clear that they will continue to support reckless deficit spending,” Rep. Myrick said. “These trillions of dollars will ultimately be paid back with higher taxes. That’s not fiscal responsibility”.
The resolution passed by a vote of 217-212.
