Myrick: This is further proof that homegrown terrorism is alive and well in our backyards.
07/30/09(Washington, D.C.) – US Representative Sue Myrick (NC-09) has released the following statement after the arrest and indictment of seven men in North Carolina suspected to have been plotting acts of terrorism:
“This is further proof that homegrown terrorism is alive and well in our backyards. It’s frightening to think that US citizens would not only plot to commit jihad overseas, but also provide money and resources to help others who wish to commit violent jihad. I commend the federal officials who have been involved in this case, and thank them for their diligent work to keep our country and allies safe from acts of terrorism”.
