(WASHINGTON, DC) – Today, House Republican Leader John Boehner announced the formation of the National Security Solutions Group, on which Rep. Sue Myrick (NC-09) will serve.

The National Security Solutions Group will be chaired by Rep. Peter King (NY-03) and will focus on advocating for better solutions to the national security challenges we face, and for the safety of our men and women in uniform who daily defend our country.

“The first and foremost role of the federal government is to ensure the security of our country,” said Rep. Myrick. “I’m honored at the opportunity to serve with my colleagues in this group, and look forward to working with them to create an agenda to address our national security concerns”.

“Rep. Myrick has been a leader in our efforts to offer common-sense solutions that keep America safe and support our troops in harm’s way, and she will be a critical part of our national security solutions group,” Republican Leader Boehner said.
