(Washington, D.C.) – US Representative Sue Myrick (NC-09) today announced that the Allegro Foundation in Charlotte, NC, has received a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. The grant will be used to fund weekly dance education classes for disabled children at several Charlotte-Mecklenburg elementary schools.

"I've been involved with the Allegro Foundation for several years, and their work with children with disabilities is very inspiring," said Rep. Myrick. "I know that they will use this grant to inspire children to achieve beyond their expectations, which brings a lot of joy to them and their families throughout our district."
