  3. Scientists have recently confirmed the presence of white-nose syndrome at Mammoth Cave National Park, the ninth national park to discover the syndrome in bat populations. White-nose syndrome, which interrupts bats' hibernation and destroys ...wing tissues, was discovered in a cave that is not open to the public.
