On July 9th 2009 my wife was shot by Debra Monce. Ms. Monce is certified by the State of Florida to carry a Concealed Weapon. Even so she lacked the training to safely carry her weapon without accidentally dropping her gun and shooting my w...ife. http://gunsinflorida.blogspot.com/2009/12/07-09-09.html
Now we as a nation have to suffer through another misuse of guns in the shootings at Sandy Hook.
This has to be enough. We elected you to lead not to follow what unelected groups such as the NRA want. The nation needs sane gun laws. Laws that will prevent these tragedies.

  2. do you still support the nra? we have in our nation about 50 million people that under our laws are legal gun owners . it is stimated by scientists that in the industrilized world that from 1% to 2 % have some level of psycological disorder , therefore we are looking at least at half a million legal gun owners with psycological disorders . what are your thoughts on this? does the nra allow you to comment proactively on domestic terrorist attacks like today? what do you think about the increasing killing of innocent american citizens by domestic terrorism?am i asking you to go against the party line?
  3. Rep Crenshaw which is more important party or nation? I pray you are representing all the people of our district. Who is Grover Donquist;to what office was he elected! I support the President tax agenda the rich of this nation needs to pay their fair share of taxes including the 41-47% of the millionaires of Congress!!!!
  4. As a voter from your district, I support the President's plan to extend tax cuts for 98 percent of American families -- $2,000 a year means a lot to me and to middle-class families here in Florida. I urge you to sign the petition forcing the House to vote on the Senate-passed bill, and to vote "yes" if it reaches the floor."

Please stand up for kids with Cancer and sign the pledge before December 14 at www.thetruth365.org. I have attached a copy for your convenience!
    Thanks for your support
  6. I want you to understand how much the voters want to change the current tax structure. I firmly believe that returning to higher tax rates for those making $250,000 or more is absolutely necessary. And so must others, given the broad support President Obama received in the recent election. Lowering taxes on the wealthy has not benefited our nation’s economy. Although returning the tax burde...n to the way it was when George W. Bush took office would help, I’d really like to see it return to the way it was when Reagan was in office.

Thank you for listening to me: someone struggling to stay in the middle class.

  7. Congressman, Got your email about looking for common ground to avoid a fiscal cliff. How about increasing taxes on people earning over $500,00/yr& decreasing mortgage deduction on homes over $1,000,000. Leave social security alone it has a surplus.
  8. Stop the “Obstructiveness” “fair and balance”

Grover Norquist is a very powerful lobbyist in DC. The Norquist’s pledge has been an almost religious rite of passage for Washington Republicans. They did not have, “impure” thoughts, this pledge is not about a sexual obsession it is million upon millions of middle class homes that overwhelming re-elected President Obama. Having the richer top two per...cent make paying higher taxes it’s a no brainer their lives are already enriched. With all of Grover Norquist millions upon millions of dollars did not stop the reelection of President Obama.

The Electra that re-elected President Obama is also a very powerful lobby too. The Republican Party is looking towards 2016 as they had their mouthwatering chops on 2012. If I was a Republican I would worry about my re-election in 2014 if you do not start to do the consensus of the American People and start to compromise, strike a deal, and start the people’s business that sent you to Congress.

Republicans and Democrats were sent to Congress not to rule the American People but to governing our great nation in our stead.

The middle class have been impacted with the burden of everything during the last twelve years. How you ask? Paying a higher percentage of taxes from our income than the rich pay out of their earnings; putting off paying for two wars during the Bush years with tax cuts for the rich; paying the price due to a dysfunctional governing body in the House of Representatives and Senate; you all received a paycheck over these years and rises too; the best benefits money could buy; you all know how to take care of Mr. / Mrs. #1; while we in the older community has only gotten one cola raise during these years.

President Obama has stated he has the “ink” in his pen to sign a compromise bill on his deck and this is not a “dirty word” after looking it up, in the Webster Dictionary. Stop turning the tables on a Democratic President when every president before him has gone to the people’s court to get his view addressed. We are tired of hearing the Republican BS it is so very stupid to the American People.

Raise the debt ceiling and bring down the deficit fair taxes for all get the revenue from the higher two percent of the rich. The middle class has paid the price by a do nothing congress the pass twelve years it is time for the rich to pay more.

For your brothers and sisters in the Senate to work with the President and get off Ambassador Rice’s the Republicans are doing everything they can other than doing the biding of the American People.

  9. ander, you take a great picture . . . now do something significant in congress! tax reform: flat tax (get it?) . . . fiscal cliff: let it go, Congress will never get your act together . . . those tax cuts were meant to be temporary, especially the 2% SS cut . . . reinstate them . . . and if you fat cats with incomes over $250000 can't afford a tax increase, let me handle your money! you will still have plenty to spend on the things Congressmen seem to like (get it?)
  10. PLEASE DO NOT CAVE!
  11. I wish you would abandon the Norquist pleadge. All sorts of independent economists and the current situation in Europe are demonstrative that taxes fior the top 2% need to be raise It will not effect 97# of all those who file their business taxes as individuals, so you're only talking about 3% of those making under 250k who will be affected.

The Tea Party is not one you need to associate yourself with . Look what happened to Mike Hogan, and you will be sssen in that light next time I assure you.

  12. Congressman Crenshaw,
I urge you to support a House vote on the extension of President Bush's income tax cuts for $500K earners and below. I think this would show good faith in fiscal negotiations.
  13. It’s time to reach across the aisle. It’s time to do your job. It’s time to start thinking about the American people. It’s time to approve the middle class tax cuts!
  14. I agree with the President, My2k a month means food on the table, medical bills paid, student loans paid, utilities paid, and gas for the car. Congress, it's time to leave out-of-date partisan politics behind. Better still, just do the right thing by the majority of the American people--stop taxes rising on the 98%!

  16. I’m writing because I’m concerned about the United States of America, and I believe that you and your cohorts are a large part of the problem. It’s time to stop the stranglehold the U.S. House of Representatives has on the people of America. Extend tax cuts for middle and lower class Americans. Increase taxes on people who make over $500,000 a year. Listen to Warren Buffett, he knows what he’s talking about. Don’t let Grover Norquist be the deciding power in our country.

Please, listen. The people have spoken in the last election, so LISTEN. Don’t let our economy suffer as the result of the stubbornness of the Republican Party.

I am writing at the request of President Obama to urge you to cooperate in helping the middle class stay middle class by not raising taxes on the middle and lower income people of America, but by making the wealthy pay their fair share in personal taxes to save our country from recession and/or depression. Taking an additional $2,000.00 from my family will bankrupt us. We are already barely able t...o cover our bills with the tax rate as it is.

I believe that you and your fellow republicans are prosecuting a class war in America. For republicans to claim that wealthy people paying their fair share of personal taxes will kill jobs is just a scare tactic, or worse, a threat against America. How can raising personal taxes on the wealthy affect job growth unless wealthy business owners are going to cut jobs or refuse to create new ones as a retaliatory act against middle and lower income America? Seems to me that when these same wealthy business owners shipped millions of jobs out of the country that was the opening volley in their war against our country, is this round two?

Put on your big-boy pants and do what is right for the majority of Americans, the middle and lower income earners in America.

    Sincerely,
    Laurene Blowers
