    Mark Udall spoke on the Senate floor today pushing Congress to pass an extension of the Production Tax Credit for wind energy.  In his 25th speech, Udall focused on the economic impacts of wind energy production in Iowa - whose wind resources could provide 44 times the state's electricity needs and power over 1 million homes.  He was joined by his colleague Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa).  Udall will continue to urge his Senate colleagues to pass the wind Production Tax Credit.

In his 24th speech, Udall focused on the economic impacts of wind energy production in Minnesota - the wind energy provides for 3,000 Minnesotan jobs, all of which are at risk if the PTC lapses. Udall will continue to urge his Senate colleagues to pass the wind Production Tax Credit.

    Senators Mark Udall and Chuck Grassley headlined a press conference today to stress the urgency of extending the wind Production Tax Credit and securing thousands of manufacturing jobs and made-in-America energy. The senators were joined by Reps. Jerry McNerney (D-Calif.) and Steve King (R-Iowa), as well as 40 veterans, many of whom have found post-military careers in the wind energy industry.
