Voter ID Laws

Voter ID laws have changed in states across the country. In Wisconsin, the state passed a law in 2011 allowing the Government Accountability Board to enforce photo ID requirements. Two separate judges then issued injunctions against this action, preventing the GAB from enforcing the law. The state Department of Justice is currently appealing these injunctions. Much could change before election day, so please stay up to date by checking the GAB website, here. The website also provides information on how to obtain a free Wisconsin ID card.

All of these changes can be confusing. Use this app to see if you are registered to vote in Wisconsin and if not, what you need to do to make sure you are able to vote on election day.
