RELEASE: Rep. Tim Ryan Congratulates Rep. Marcia Fudge on Her Selection as CBC Chair

Rep. Tim Ryan issued the following statement on Rep. Marcia Fudge’s selection as Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus:  

“I congratulate my dear friend Rep. Fudge on her unanimous selection as Chair of Congressional Black Caucus. She has been a strong advocate for her district and the people of Ohio, and she is an excellent choice to lead the CBC, which is an important voice for civil rights and fundamental fairness in the legislative process. We have seen, and continue to see, an attack on the very fundamental rights of Americans.  Marsha Fudge is exactly who we need out there pushing back on these disgusting attempts to turn the clock back and suppress the votes of our own citizens.  Serving with Rep. Fudge is an honor, and I’m pleased her leadership and commitment to democratic values is being recognized by her peers with this selection.”
