I am very pleased that the Supreme Court has agreed to determine whether the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) is constitutional.
I remain fully dedicated to repealing PPACA. One of the very first votes I cast in the 112th Congress was to repeal this legislation in its entirety. PPACA must be repealed and replaced with constitutional common-sense reforms that lower health care costs and truly benefit hardworking, American taxpayers. The individual mandate President Obama has so tirelessly fought for is burdensome, costly, and most importantly, unconstitutional.
I look forward to a final ruling from the Supreme Court that will end the uncertainty surrounding PPACA so that we can move forward with repealing this unconstitutional law and replacing it with common-sense reforms.
