Van Nuys, CA - Rep. Howard L. Berman (D-CA) announced today that $85,140 from the FY 2009 Health Care and Other Facilities Renovation or Construction Projects program will be awarded to the Northeast Valley Health Corporation.  The Federal dollars are granted by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration.  The funding will help the Northeast Valley Health Corporation to construct, renovate, expand, or modernize health care facilities and other related facilities in medically underserved areas.     
                                             
Berman stated, "For many years, Northeast Valley Health Corporation has been at the forefront of providing healthcare to the uninsured and under-served people in our community and I am thrilled they are receiving this grant that will help improve the health facilities in medically underserved populations.  The Northeast Valley Health Corporation continues to play a critical role in meeting the healthcare needs of San Fernando Valley residents."
