Homeowners Assistance and Retention Workshop

Saturday, February 27, 2010

10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Panorama High School
8015 Van Nuys Blvd., Panorama City
As your Congressman, one of my most important duties is to act as your liaison to the federal government and its agencies. While I cannot order a federal agency to decide a matter in your favor, I can help cut through the red tape and get an answer for you. My office can also offer assistance with credit card issues, provide mortgage and foreclosure information, or act as an intermediary between you and unresponsive banks.

HUD-approved agencies and banking institutions will be on hand to assist you with your questions. My staff and I will also be there to talk with you.

If you join us, please bring copies of as much of the following information as you can. The more you bring, the better assistance you will be able to receive.

• Two (2) current pay stubs
• Two (2) recent monthly bank statements
• 2008 or 2009 tax return, including W2
• List of your monthly expenses
• Your homeowners insurance policy
• Your most recent mortgage statement (and any related correspondence)
• Any utility bill with your address on it
• Hardship letter (explaining your circumstances in your own words)

If you think you can attend, please RSVP by calling (866) 977-9009, x1. If you have any questions about how I can help, you can always call my office at (818) 994-7200.

Sincerely,

Howard L. Berman
MEMBER OF CONGRESS
