Washington, D.C. - Today, Congressman Howard L. Berman (CA-28) announced the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) has been awarded $2 million for enhanced transit planning in the Van Nuys Corridor. This investment will go towards establishing new transit alternatives for valley residents and infrastructure improvements.
“The Van Nuys corridor is a key transit artery through the Valley, and this investment is crucial to expanding and improving public transportation”, said Congressman Berman. “The link between public transportation and economic activity is well documented and the enhanced planning will allow MTA to better suit the needs of residents and local area businesses, and spur economic growth in the area.”
