Washington, D.C. - Congressman Tim Walberg voted today in favor of H.R. 2, Repealing the Job-Killing Health Care Act.   Congressman Walberg co-sponsored the bill, which is a full repeal of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) and all health care and taxprovisions in the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010.

“As one of my first votes in the new Congress, I was pleased to vote in favor of this repeal bill today,” stated Congressman Walberg.  “Repealing the health care law is a crucial step in getting our economy growing again.  After holding hundreds of townhall meetings, I am certain that this repeal fulfilled the clear desire of people in the Seventh District,” said Congressman Walberg.

“I urge the Senate to pass this repeal and send it to the President expeditiously,” concluded Walberg.

Among the provisions of the bill, it would eliminate the burdensome taxes, regulations, and mandates on businesses and the significant Medicare cuts, which resulted from the passage of Obamacare.  Congressman Walberg plans to continue to champion common-sense health care reforms like expanded flexibility of Health Savings Accounts, association health plans, and allowing the purchase of health coverage across state lines.
