The East Bay Regional Park District spans Alameda and Contra Costa counties east of San Francisco with 112,000+ acres in 65 parks including over 1,200 miles of trails for hiking, biking, horseback riding and nature study. The Park District offers lakes, shorelines, campgrounds, visitor centers, interpretive and recreation programs, picnic areas, indoor/outdoor rental facilities, golf courses and much more. Our award-winning Trails Challenge Program is a popular self-guided hiking, biking, and walking program with thousands of participants each year. Our volunteer programs offer opportunities in public safety, interpretation, environmental protection and habitat and species preservation.
