President Obama Playing Politics With Jobs Bill

Oct 4, 2011

The President will travel to Dallas, TX today to promote his jobs bill by demanding House Republicans take an all or nothing approach to passing his bill and attacking Majority Leader Eric Cantor. Meanwhile, Democratic Senate leadership has yet to take up the President’s bill, numerous Senate Democrats have cited their opposition to the President’s proposed tax hikes, and not one Democrat in the House has co-sponsored the legislation. Why is the President giving Congressional Democrats a pass? It’s pure politics.

Senate Majority Leader Reid Says President’s “Jobs Bill” Is Not A Priority For Senate Democrats. “’We understand that there’s conversations going on about the president’s jobs bill — which I support, I’m in agreement with,” Reid said. ‘We’ll get to that. But let’s get some of these things done that we have to get done first.’” (Rosalind S.
