“Today the U.S. House has taken an important step towards protecting our environment, ending America’s dependence on foreign oil, creating millions of new jobs and establishing the United States as a leader in renewable energy.  While this bill is far from perfect, it does support a market-driven approach to create new, greener energy technologies that will ultimately provide greater economic security and enhanced national security. The legislation also provides rebates, credits and grants for low-income families, non-profits and neighborhood organizations to help everyone share in a more secure energy future.  Ultimately, this bill is about investing in a better world for our children and grandchildren and reaffirming our faith in American innovation and creativity.”
