Tax

With unemployment at record highs and an economy that continues to struggle to recover Congress must do everything in its power to encourage private sector job growth in America.  Reforming our antiquated and burdensome tax code is a simple and necessary step to helping America’s small businesses grow and hire new workers.

I support reforming the tax code to create a system that is simpler and fairer for families and small businesses.  I reject the notion that we must raise taxes and strongly believe that Washington does not have a taxing problem, Washington has a spending problem.

Raising taxes on investment, savings, families, and small businesses will only hinder our economy and delay a full recovery.  I will continue to fight for fiscal responsibility, lower taxes, and limited government – key ingredients in getting our economy moving and creating jobs.  And I will continue to listen to those I’m fortunate enough to represent in Congress.
