Congressman Brian Bilbray votes to support San Diego’s Job Creators by maintaining tax cuts for all Americans

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Brian Bilbray (CA-50) today issued the following statement after the passage of H.R. 8, the Job Protection and Recession Prevention Act:

“With San Diego’s unemployment rate once again climbing to 9.2 percent, the last thing we should be doing is raising taxes, particularly on small businesses that create jobs.  According to the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, 95 percent of San Diego businesses are classified as small businesses.  Raising taxes on our largest job creators would be disastrous and will only extend the worst economy since the Great Depression.”
