One of the best parts of my job is helping veterans, small businesses, seniors, and others navigate the federal government to receive the benefits they deserve.
If you are experiencing difficulty with a federal agency, my office is ready to help you cut through the red tape. Just recently, my office surpassed a major constituent service milestone by securing over $1 million in overdue benefits for Western New Yorkers. My office can assist with questions you may have about Social Security, Medicare, Veterans, taxes, passports, and more.
For example, Robert Lewis a Vietnam Veteran attended one of my Congress on Your Corner events where he sought help after the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) denied him coverage for a life saving aortic valve replacement surgery. At my urging, the VA reviewed Mr. Lewis’ record and eventually approved coverage for the operation. The surgery was successful, and Mr. Lewis is recuperating.
