Dowdell and Bernal Nominations--Agreement: A unanimous-consent-time agreement was reached providing that at a time to be determined by the Majority Leader, in consultation with the Republican Leader, Senate begin consideration of the nominations of John E. Dowdell, of Oklahoma, to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Oklahoma, and Jesus G. Bernal, of California, to be United States District Judge for the Central District of California; that there be 30 minutes for debate equally divided in the usual form; that following the use or yielding back of time, Senate vote, without intervening action or debate, on the confirmation of the nomination of John E. Dowdell, of Oklahoma, to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Oklahoma, and the nomination of Jesus G. Bernal, of California, to be United States District Judge for the Central District of California, in that order; and that no further motions be in order.
