Congressional Internet Caucus

The Internet has become the engine of commerce, communications and democracy.  The Congressional Internet Caucus is a bi-partisan group of over 150 members of the House and Senate working to promote the promise and potential of the Internet.  The caucus, which celebrates its 15th anniversary this year with an unparalleled record of policy education and bipartisanship, is open to all Members who support its goals:

•    Promoting the growth and advancement of the Internet
•    Providing a bicameral, bipartisan forum for Internet concerns to be raised
•    Promoting the education of Members of Congress and their staff on Internet-related issues
•    Promoting commerce and the free flow of information on the Internet
•    Advancing the United States' leadership in the digital world
•    Maximizing the openness of and participation in government by the people.

Now, more than ever, we need to ensure the continued growth and vitality of the Internet through thoughtful and forward policymaking. The work of the Congressional Internet Caucus is directed at bicameral and balanced policy discussion and education to meet that goal under the leadership of caucus co-chairs, Senator Patrick Leahy, Senator John Thune, Congressman Bob Goodlatte and Congresswoman Anna Eshoo.

We are proud that our goals are shared by so many private sector organizations, including the Congressional Internet Caucus Advisory Committee, a non-profit organization that hosts a robust educational curriculum on top Internet policy issues throughout the year. Its panel debates and workshops on Capitol Hill have always been timely and balanced throughout its 15-year history of work.
