The 6th District of Virginia

Virginia's Sixth Congressional District is one of the most diverse and beautiful regions in the country. Straddling Interstate 81 and boasting several regional airports, it is easily accessible from any part of the country.

Whether you like to visit historical sites, camp, ski, shop, dine or just relax; Virginia's Sixth District has it all. Stretching across the western side of Virginia from Roanoke and Lynchburg to Harrisonburg, there are more things to do than a person can fit into a few years worth of vacations.

The Sixth District has more colleges and universities than most other congressional districts in the country. The home of Woodrow Wilson, several resorts, major industries, Shenandoah National Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway make up just a few of the treasures in the Sixth District. More than one million acres in the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests offer a wealth of recreational activities. The historic cities of Staunton and Lexington give us a view of our nation's past.

Please visit the Virginia Tourism Website for more information on the sites and destinations in the Sixth District.
