Strategy Shift in Iraq Shows Significant Progress in War on Terror

Due to the great progress made by our brave men and women on the front lines, President Obama has announced the US mission in Iraq will shift from a combat role to an advisory and assistance mission for the Iraqi government and its security forces beginning August 31, 2010 and continuing for the next 17 months.

President Obama Must Not Waive Iran Sanctions

The extremist regime in Iran oppresses their people, supports terrorists and terror organizations, and poses a daily threat to the safety and security of the American people.  For these reasons, and many more, the United States cannot stand idly by and allow Iran to develop nuclear weapons.

Remembering Tiananmen Square

Today marks the 20th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square Massacre, known in China as The June Fourth Incident.  Following seven weeks of protests by Chinese citizens in Beijing who opposed the authoritarian rule of their government, the Chinese Liberation Army rolled in to Tiananmen Square with tanks and armed soldiers and began an assault on the protestors.  The complete death toll is unknown.  The Chinese government claims only 241 people, including soldiers, were killed; however the Red Cross estimates a number closer to 2,600.  While some media coverage of the protests were initially al
