POLITICO Morning Transportation Coverage of Commuter Savings Act

LEFT AT THE STATION — FOR NOW: The transit pretax benefit boost, which was left off the recent transportation bill, is likely on hold for most of the year — until Congress stares down the “fiscal cliff” at year’s end. Nan Hayworth recently introduced a bill (http://bit.ly/LeQlM4) that would bring parity through the end of 2013 by raising the $139 million in necessary annual offsets by dipping into a health care prevention account established during health care reform. Senate Democrats, however, have deemed that fund off limits. Burgess has the Pro story:http://politico.pro/NLxHP
