GOSHEN – Over 20 first responders in Orange and Rockland counties were honored Tuesday by Congresswoman Nan Hayworth for their selfless service to the community.

In Goshen ceremonies Hayworth presented the awards for the responders’ sacrifices and dedication to public service.

“These are people, who save lives and who take it in the line of duty, but they take in as their job and they are very modest about it,” she said. “They go above and beyond every day.”

Tonight in Carmel, Hayworth will present similar awards to first responders from Dutchess, Putnam and Westchester counties.
