POUGHKEEPSIE – Congresswoman Nan Hayworth and Dutchess County Legislature Chairman Robert Rolison Thursday toured The Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse in the City of Poughkeepsie.

Afterwards Hayworth pledged to assist the organization any way she can.

“They are wonderful people who are really doing their best with limited funds to provide a very important to children and families who are at risk, so whatever help we can try to offer from the federal level in terms of competitive grants,” she said.

The center partners with local schools, law enforcement and the Dutchess County Social Services Department to protect children, advocate on their behalf, and educate the community on how to prevent abuse.
