Braley Hosts Field Hearing on Veterans Job Creation in Waterloo

Washington, DC – Today the House Veterans Affairs Subcommittee on Economic Opportunity will hold a field hearing in Waterloo focusing on veterans economic opportunity.  Braley, the top-ranking Democrat on the subcommittee, will be joined by Republican subcommittee Chair Marlin Stutzman of Indiana to host the hearing.
 
The hearing, titled “Hiring Heroes: Job Creation for Veterans and Guard/Reserve Members,” will focus on creating economic opportunities for returning veterans and National Guard/Reserve members.  The hearing is free and open to the public.
 
Braley and Stutzman will hold a media availability immediately preceding the hearing.
 
Iowa veterans and Iowa employers will testify, including Staff Sgt. Nathan Rose of Mt. Pleasant, Cpt. Aaron Robinson of Des Moines, and representatives from Deere & Company, Principal Financial Group, Rockwell Collins, and Honkamp, Krueger & Co. of Dubuque.
