Education

I believe that every child is entitled to a quality education. I give each piece of legislation regarding changes to our education system careful consideration and study. Children are our nation’s most valuable resource, and the future of America depends on our students receiving the best education we can provide. I am fully committed to making sure educators receive the tools they need to accomplish the paramount task of teaching our children.

However, many of the decisions made about the education system in Louisiana are out of the federal government’s hands. The majority of the funds for Louisiana’s education system come from within the state, and I believe that state and local educators are the ones who are most capable of determining how that money is best spent.
