Webb Staff to Hold Satellite Office Hours in Gloucester on July 13, 2011

“Webb Sites” Expand Constituent Services to Convenient Locations

July 13, 2011

A staff representative from the office of Senator Jim Webb will hold a “Webb Site,” or satellite office-hours to offer Virginians the opportunity to receive one-on-one assistance from a member of Senator Webb’s staff.

This session is designed to assist constituents in Gloucester, and the surrounding communities with difficulties relating to Social Security and Medicare benefits, veterans’ benefits, legal immigration, federal student loans, military service, and other federally-related matters.

Over the past years, Senator Webb’s state staff has held more than 125 “Webb Sites” in at least 50 communities across Virginia.

A “Webb Site” will be held in Gloucester on July 13, 2011 from 3:00 – 5:30 PM.

“This program has enabled my state staff to reach out to communities across the Commonwealth and assist constituents with federal issues,” said Senator Webb. “Proper service is best delivered through one-on-one interaction, and I hope the residents of Gloucester and surrounding areas will take advantage of this resource.”

Representatives from Senator Webb’s office will help constituents complete casework inquiry and privacy forms so that assistance can be properly conducted in keeping with federal law. Constituents are asked to bring copies of all pertinent information regarding their cases in order to facilitate a timely response. For citizens who wish to work on another person’s behalf, the constituent with the concern must provide written permission for such action.
