Flag Requests

First District residents can request an American flag to be flown over the United States Capitol in recognition of any special occasion or event. You will receive a certificate indicating what day it was flown as well as a personalized phrase to commemorate the event.

The Architect of the Capitol can use one of the following phrases on the certificate to indicate the reason it is being flown:

"Flown for"
"Presented to"
"In recognition of"
"In memory of"
"To commemorate"

Please send your completed a flag order form and check or money order to the address listed on the following page.  Your order will be processed upon receipt of payment. Please allow up to 6-8 weeks for processing.
