District Map

  • The 13th Congressional District & Map

Ohio's 13th Congressional District truly is a great place to live, raise a family and do business. Congresswoman Sutton has lived most of her life in and around the communities that make up much of the district, and she is proud to represent the people and places she knows and loves so much.

Originally nicknamed the “Turnpike District”, the 13th Congressional District’s unique shape traces across the shoreline of Lake Erie in Lorain County, captures the “Emerald Necklace” of the Cleveland MetroParks and the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, and extends south to include the Portage Lakes State Park in Summit County. The 13th Congressional District is also home to institutions of higher learning such as Lorain County Community College and The University of Akron.

The 13th Congressional District stretches across four of Northeast Ohio’s most populous counties, Lorain, Cuyahoga, Medina, and Summit, and it includes all or some of over thirty communities.

Constituent Services

Help With A Federal Agency

One of Congresswoman Sutton’s most important responsibilities as your representative is to provide you with assistance when working with federal agencies. The Congresswoman and her knowledgeable casework staff can work with you to receive Social Security, Medicare, and veterans' benefits, as well as assist with passports and other services.  The Congresswoman's office can also help local organizations in finding federal grants for community projects or in determining a constituent's eligibility for federal student aid.  Through Congresswoman Sutton's office, you may purchase a flag flown over the Capitol Building, secure various tours in our nation's capital, and apply for nominations to our service academies. We are here to serve you and urge you to browse this section for useful information.

Before we can help with a federal agency, The Privacy Act mandates that we have your written consent for a caseworker to obtain the facts about your particular case. Please print out and complete the request for federal assistance form linked at the bottom of the page.

Next, you should gather the relevant documents. To best serve you, the Congresswoman's staff will need any paperwork you have pertaining to your case. This may include:

  • Most recent correspondence sent to/received from the agency (letters, decisions, notices, etc.)
  • Receipts for applications filed and fees paid Medical documentation (if applicable)
  • Financial records (if applicable)
  • Other letters of support.

**Remember to mail copies instead of original documents unless otherwise requested.

Forward all forms and documentation to the nearest local office by mail, fax or in person.
