I believe in the importance of learning about our government and participating in the legislative process. There are many opportunities for Kentucky students to get involved - internships are a very rewarding way to gain experience and insight into the world of public service. I offer several internship programs in my Washington, D.C. and Bowling Green offices. College students may be able to receive academic credit for their internship. Please check with your college or university for more details.

U.S. Capitol Historical Society Student Essay Contest

U.S. Capitol Historical Society’s Student Essay Contest is open to any and all students in either grade 6-8 (Junior Division) or 9-12 (Senior Division) throughout the country. Prizes that will be awarded for first, second, and third place for the winners in each division, with the first place prize winners receiving a trip to Washington, DC.
