Congressman Brian Higgins (NY-27) announced he will be hosting a special Congress on Your Corner breakfast for seniors and veterans.  Residents are invited to come have coffee with the Congressman and connect with local agencies providing important services.

“Accessing available services can be a frustrating process,” said Congressman Higgins.  “This Congress on Your Corner breakfast is designed to help veterans and seniors cut through the red tape by bringing people who can help directly to a location that is convenient and accessible.   I hope that you and your family will take advantage of this unique opportunity to access these services under one roof.”

Representatives from Congressman Higgins’ office as well as many other community organizations will be attending the event to showcase a variety of resources that are available specifically to veterans, seniors and their families.  The event will also include a brief presentation from the Congressman and a couple organizations.

Some of the agencies scheduled to be on-hand include: Meals on Wheels, The Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Library System, Chautauqua County Veteran Service Agency, The Dunkirk VA Outpatient Clinic, Chautauqua Area Regional Transit System (CARTS), Office of the Aging, The Chautauqua County Sherriff’s Department, Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), The Red Cross, Visiting Nurses Association (VNA), NYS Small Business Development Center at Jamestown Community College (JCC), Jamestown Community College (JCC), VA Buffalo Regional Office, Veterans Administration Western New York Health Care System, Lake Erie Regional Health System of New York (TLC Health Network, Brooks Memorial Hospital).
