House passes bill that protects Guard unit
The House on Friday passed a huge defense authorization bill that would keep an Air National Guard unit based in Niagara Falls operating for at least another year, but the measure could face big problems both in the Senate and if it reaches the president’s desk in its current form.

Promising News for Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station
Early Thursday morning, Congresswoman Kathy Hochul joined with Republicans and Democrats on the House Armed Services Committee (HASC) to offer an amendment to the FY13 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) to prevent cuts to the Air National Guard and protect installations like the 107th Airlift Wing at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station (NFARS).
