Fitzpatrick Recognizes Veterans Day

Nov 11, 2012 Issues: Veterans

LANGHORNE, Pa - Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick (PA-08) honored the service of our nation's veterans this morning, declaring that "Americans and freedom-loving people around the world owe a debt of gratitude to the men and women of the United States military and its veterans."

"President Wilson declared November 11th as Veterans Day on the heels of the Great War that was to end all wars.  Despite this prediction, American sons and daughters have been called up again and again in defense of our country and its values in far-flung fields the world over.  Each time, they have answered the call and served with pride and with honor."

"On this Veterans Day, in ceremonies in Bucks County, Montgomery County and in communities across the country, friends and neighbors will gather to honor these brave men and women of all generations and to express our undying gratitude for the sacrifices made in the name of our freedom."
