About the White House Tour
The White House tour is a self-guided walking tour of the East Wing
The tour takes approximately 45-60 minutes to complete
The tour is available Tuesday through Saturday (excluding federal holidays)

White House tours are offered at the following times:
Tuesday – Thursday: 7:30 am – 11:00 am
Friday: 7:30 am – 12:00 pm
Saturday: 7:30 am – 1:00 pm

Requests:

  • Are accepted up to six months in advance, but no less than one month prior to the desired dates. It is especially important to submit the request months in advance if you wish to tour during peak tour season (March-June).
  • Are approved on a first-come, first-served basis. While we make the request on your behalf, it is the White House Visitors Office that determines which tours are approved and denied.
  • Please note that submitting this information allows the request to be submitted but does not guarantee that a tour will be granted. When tours are denied it is usually due to high demand.
